The San Pablo Mission had the wonderful opportunity to be taught from on high as we welcomed Brother Beck, General Young Men's President, and President Ardern, President of the Philippines area. There was some amazing council given by all those who spoke. Things that seemed minor were broken down to mean so much more. The spirit was so strong as it testified simple but eternal truths to all in attendance.
It was a very different kind of meeting as we were all encouraged to ask questions and participate. One sister stood and asked how she could stay focused on the work as she faced trials and things seemed to be going horribly wrong. Sister Beck stood at the pulpit and very simply said, "Always remember that you are a child of God." She went on to say that as we focus on this very truth, our faith will increase and we will know that we are not alone in the things we face. She said that we will come to recognize the LOVE he has for us and we wont be able to hold back the desire to share that same love. Our circumstances may not always permit us to show that love in a certain way but any kind deed, word, or action will make a difference.
May we always remember this. Heavenly Father knows us and is there to help us always. I love you all.
